Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the awesome people of The Broke and the Bookish
This is a great Top 10 Tuesday because this is going to be a time that you’ll receive some awesome recommendations! All depending on your mood and books you like to read check out some of these awesome books!
If you like post apocalyptic books with alien invasion. These 2 books would be exactly what you are looking for. Each with a nice bit of rawness that is refreshing and some amazing and sweet romance that will tug at your heart strings.
If you like fallen Angels then give Angelfall a try. Honestly I wasn’t a huge fan of the Fallen series, however I LOVED Angelfall and it is everything I could’ve hoped for in an awesome fallen angel/post apocalyptic world! oh, it’s crazy good!
If you are looking for some paranormal contemporary about dreams, groups of boys with only 1 girl in the group, then check Dream a Little Dream out. I loved it! One of the BEST books of 2015.
If you’re like me and love a dystopian with some adventure, check out Fire & Flood because it isn’t the Hunger Games but has a bit of feel to it. A story of a race in order to save a loved one and the plot of the government is thick. With GREAT action and a story with a nice undertone of romance that doesn’t overwhelm the story this is it. One of my favs….
I LOVE the character Percy Jackson, I was able to laugh out loud and enjoy him and his adventures. If you love a good, ALIVE boy character then you have GOT to check out The False Prince. It’s seriously awesome. I know adults who love it just as much as their kids. The main character Sage is freaking awesome and alive, the twist and turns of the story keep your hands glued to the book.
Looking for a good YA survival story? Beyond the Strandline is a nice taste of realism. If life as we know it were to end and we had to literally survive without the conveniences we are use to, how would you do? This book shows you what it would be like with fantastic characters, some romance, and great action that will leave you wanting more.
If you loved the Lunar Chronicles then you’ll love Stitching Snow, it’s got a real Cinder feel to it but is a story about Snow White (yeah I know, Winter is coming out soon). I wish this book was better well known it was just so fun and clean I loved it.
Looking for a romantic story with a touch of magical realism would work set in a medieval time period? Then you’ve GOT to check out Eleanor and the Iron King. I read this book not knowing much about it. I read the synopsis and thought that it would be cute. WHOA was I not expecting the magical aspect that blew me out of the water! SO GOOD. seriously. SO GOOD. I read it in ONE sitting, couldn’t put it down.
If you’re a HUGE fan of Juliet Marillier like I am, then you’ve GOT to check out Sandra Waugh’s books Guardians of Tarnec. They are amazing. Waugh is up there with Marillier, brilliant stories, awesome heroines, swoon worthy romances, clean, adventure and everything you could possible want in a YA fantasy book.
